Grass Porridge Cult

Grass Porridge Cult is informal user organization from the North call themselves "Grass Porridge Cult" (GPC) the Korean word for it is 풀죽신교. The first part, 풀죽 means grass/herb porridge. The second part 신교 means religious belief/ religion. It is a gathering of users fanatically loyal to the adventures of Weed, denoted by the "Grass Porridge!" chant on many occasions. The GPC was founded in Morata by Lemon and was named after the dish served during the creation of the Pyramid in Rosenheim. There is a rumor spread by general users that the GPC is sponsored by Weed[1], and that it has over 130 units[2].

North user's organization[]

This player organization has a tremendous growth rate:

  • It was first founded as a militia to help to defend the City of Morata against the Guilds of the Central Continent. At that time, it boasted 320 thousand members 312 thousand Low level and over 8000 medium and high level users[1]
  • When Weed was hunting Bar Khan , there were around 800 thousand gamers [3].
  • When the Arpen Kingdom was officially founded, they had already raised over 3 millions followers [4].
  • When the second war between Haven and Arpen started, more than 70% of the beginners were starting in the north. So, for example, just outside Morata, there were roughly 10 million beginners [5].

At this point, for various reasons, the North attracted most of the new players, and many mid and high level players Reference needed .

A solid collective foundation[]

The founding members all experienced the first collective quest that Weed started in Rosenheim (Volume 13 Chapter 5) . This collective experience was renewed in Morata with the construction of major building (Volume? Chapter?) and the defense of Morata. Also, they are strongly inspired by Weed spirit and adventures (Volume? Chapter?) .

A strong membership policy[]

They have an interesting alternative membership policy [6], compared to other guild. Becoming a member offers multiple advantage for users and almost no inconvenience. This is especially true for beginners: low taxes, important bonus, large support, cheap food and lodging, strong and positive spirit. This is even more important for advanced level users: various quest and dungeons, opportunities to raise skill and fame, no scam from guilds, etc. Therefore, almost every user in the Arpen Kingdom can and will be part of it. (Volume? Chapter?)

From the beginning, this policy was actively promoted (Volume? Chapter?) . But still, we don't know how much Weed is actively involved in this.

Description of the benefits[]

  • Cheap and good Food (Volume? Chapter?)
  • Cheap Lodging (Volume? Chapter?)
  • Large Hunting grounds and various dungeons (Volume? Chapter?)
  • Cheap Repair services (Volume? Chapter?)
  • Strong and free spirit (Volume? Chapter?)
  • Low taxes (Volume? Chapter?)

A smart and responsive organization[]

They are organized into smaller troop units. It was difficult to measure the scale of the northern units but it was common to see hundreds of thousands in a unit [7]. Be it on land, sky or sea, if someone loses his unit or wanted to change, he could also easily integrate with another unit. At the beginning, their main fighting tactic is swarming the enemy like ants, utilizing their sheer number advantage. But after the first large defeat against Haven's Empire armies [8], they started to evolve and develop new and more efficient tactics [9] to turn the odds against the strongest and largest army of the Central Continent.

Special Units[]

NEW Geomchi Unit[]

After the start of the second Hermes war on the North, a new unit appeared [112]. This new unit is organized by Geomchi himself.

  • Muksabal Knights (Formerly Kill Without Asking Porridge Unit)

Geomchi and Geomchi-2 each led troops comprised of 150 students. Geomchi-3, Geomchi-4 and Geomchi-5 led the remaining 200 students.

Those 3 corps are made out of Geomchi's disciples and they are to fight in the northern areas occupied by the Haven Empire [113] who expelled the northern users and conquered the villages.

This unit is dedicated to hunt down and destroy the occupying force in the North.

Sky Porridge unit[]

In the Arpen kingdom, the Grass Porridge Cult made a unit consisting of avians and a few regular members to be dropped onto the enemy[114] to help the kingdom against the second invasion of Haven Empire. The Sky Porridge unit made possible after the migration from the avian clans from Rosenheim to the Arpen kingdom. They first public appearance was during the first defensive war against the Haven Kingdom (Volume? Chapter?) . They had a strong impact on the impact during the battle at Earth palace (Volume? Chapter?) .

Saber-toothed Tiger Corps[]

Grass Porridge Armed Forces[]

Grass Porridge Army[]

Founded by high ranking officials in the GPC after the Haven Empire was driven back a second time. The purpose of founding the army was to step away from the limitations human wave tactics. The commanders in charge have the right to declare cease-fires and enter peace negotiations. Several high ranking members of army in reality joined the unit. Had over 4 million troops at its founding.[119]

Grass Porridge Army’s Conduct

  1. We are founded to protect the peace of the Versailles Continent. We won’t tolerate injustice and will fight for the people.
  2. In order to fund the Grass Porridge Army, each user should donate a certain amount of money every month. The donation amount will be left to your conscience.
  3. The Grass Porridge Army is voluntary. However, users will be placed according to their ability and have to convene whenever there is a war. The northern users will respect you for your hard work and dedication. You will receive benefits while hunting and in stores, as well as the best support on quests.
  4. Soldiers will be classified as active or reserve. The active soldiers have to attend two training meetings every month. You will have to bring your own consumables and military supplies. This is so we can afford to pay you.
  5. The commanders will represent the Grass Porridge Army to Weed, the God of War. Each commander will be in the middle of combat[120].

Grass Porridge Navy[]

Founded at the same time as the Grass Porridge Army[121]

Grass Porridge Air Force[]

Founded at the same time as the Grass Porridge Army[122]

Military Manpower Administration[]

Founded at the same time as the Grass Porridge Army[123]

GPC policy and course of action[]

Outside of the defense of the Arpen Kingdom, it also invests into the Arpen Kingdom's economy. For example:

  • Acquiring new villages for the kingdom  (Volume? Chapter?)
  • Construction of new grand buildings like the Freya Cathedral, The Great Northern Library, and the Earth Palace, [124]
  • Entertainment for the users

For example, cooking events (Grass Porridge)  (Volume? Chapter?)

  • Monster clearing (Volume? Chapter?)

It also provides various resources for users. For example:

  • Uniforms [125]. The job is done by Drago who always has hundreds in stock. Drago is the first tailor to attempt the master quest  (Volume? Chapter?) and therefore, wearing the GPC uniforms gives strong bonus and benefits for users (Volume? Chapter?) , especially for beginners.

An alternative and creative guild project[]

This player organization is NOT registered as a guild.

It mysteriously works in a self-organized fashion (Volume? Chapter?)

It can also be considered as some sort of Weed's fan club (Volume? Chapter?) .

It actively promotes a collective win-win (Volume? Chapter?) .

It can also be considered as an alternative and efficient approach to the Guild system (Volume? Chapter?) .

As the second Haven war revealed it, it possesses a large and unique variety of special talents [126].

Over the time, it even developed a large Central Continent branch with less beginners but a significant number of level 300 and 400 people [127]

With so many strong assets, and such a fierce collective motivation[128] to defend their country, their home town and their gaming culture, the Grass Porridge Guild is one of the top guilds in Royal Road, especially after the fall of the large guild of the Central Continent Volume? Chapter? .
