Volume 3, Chapter 2: "The Stone That Gathers Lightning"
Short Summary[]
Somewhere in the Bar Khu Mountain Range, a 4-man player-killer team known as the Dwichigi Quartlet (Gran, Halman, Margaux, and Levi) remain in hiding at Paruvan Lodge after being chased for weeks by the Britten Alliance's Cloud Guild for killing Brandy of their players. Believing that they're being chased because of the dungeon location map they looted off the Cloud player, the Dwichigi Quartlet decide to search for it in the mountain range thinking that said dungeon will provide them some great loot that the Cloud Guild is after. However, the 4 of them soon realize that their team is lacking a player class that can spot the dungeon's traps. Not wanting to die, the map even tells the Dwichigi Quartlet that one player is required to die to the final lightning trap in order to retrieve the treasure.
Spotting Weed and Mapan's caravan in the distance, the Dwichigi Quartlet agree to use the two of them as the trap fodder. They introduce themselves to Weed and Mapan, and are glad to hear that the two of them look like the perfect bait coming off as just a weak Merchant and Sculptor trade caravan. Weed remains suspicious of a group of bandits choosing to meet them in a dangerous location, and decides to show off his Lion's Roar skill as the only reason for why he and Mapan have been able to pass by the werewolves. The Dwichigi Quartlet offer to escort them through the rest of the Bar Khu Mountain Range, which Mapan accepts while Weed plays along.
Along the escort, the Dwichigi Quartlet pretend to play nice and act friendly towards Weed and Mapan. Once they reach the mountain path's bridge over a canyon, the leader of the Dwichigi Quartlet, Gran, suggests they take the more adventurous path down the canyon wall. Despite Mapan wanting to refuse the more dangerous path, Weed agrees to go along with it for now since he's caught on that the Dwichigi Quartet has something else in store for them. Making their way through the canyon, the Dwichigi Quartlet finally come across the dungeon marked on the map, and ask if Weed and Mapan wish to come along.

- The Dwichigi Quartlet are introduced as a 4-man player-killer team all over level 220. The members include Gran, Halman, Margaux, Levi. Gran appears to act as the overall leader.
- Dwichigi means "backstab."
- The Dwichigi Quartlet were forced to go on the run after killing off a player from the large Cloud Guild in the Britten Alliance kingdom. However, they loot a map off the killed player showing the dungeon location for the Tomb of the One with Short Legs, which is somewhere within the Bar Khu Mountain Range.
- The Dwichigi Quartlet agree to loot the Tomb of the One with Short Legs, but realize that they need fodder to bypass the dungeon's traps, especially the final Lightning trap that requires someone to die. They see Weed and Mapan in the distance, and decide to choose them as the bait.
- Weed and Mapan meet the Dwichigi Quartlet, and are offered escort through the rest of the Bar Khu Mountain Range, which the two accept while Weed remains suspicious.
- Weed continues to sculpt the jewels he purchased beforehand.
- Taking a path off the main road suggested by the Dwichigi Quartlet by going down a canyon path instead of along the bridge, Weed uses this chance to pick up some mountain herbs for Medical Botany.
- Thanks to the map, the Dwichigi Quartlet find the Tomb of the One with Short Legs dungeon in the canyon, and ask if Weed and Mapan are going to come along.
